EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
MA CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Alex brings with him a broad experience ranging from the building industry as a General Contractor to teaching Residential Construction at the local vocational school. Alex is passionate about helping young adults to access the economy at a higher level through a blend of skill building and community support. Alex is interested in work based educational solutions that assist a student in achieving their goals toward self-sufficiency.

TREASURER
M.S.T
Mark has been the tip of the spear for contextualized, hands-on mathematics teaching for more than 30 years. Mark piloted programs at both North High School and, most recently, at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) in Salem, OR. Mark is passionate about turning education into dollars for our students and uses his vast experience and methodology to make math accessible for all students. Mark also serves as the treasurer and curriculum director for Instruction Construction.

BS CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
Neil has a tremendous experience in running several high-tech manufacturing companies engaged in the production of silicon wafers. He also brings a deep strategic experience as a former board member of Portland General Electric (PGE). Neil serves as a strategic advisor helping us gain the right foothold in manufacturing education that will support manufacturing sectors of the local economy. Neil has a passion for helping and serving people that drives his support for the people we serve.

Miranda is a successful school administrator, teacher, and coach. Miranda brings a high level of competency to innovative and nontraditional education through her vast experience working in nontraditional educational settings. Miranda is fueled by a passion for equity through education and uses her unique talents to create opportunities and pathways for young people that would otherwise be left behind.

Win is a successful, serial entrepreneur who has education and experience in every phase of business. Win brings passion and experience to the board as a strategic advisor helping Instruction Construction accomplish its mission by navigating the complexities of the start-up process and assuring we set sound plans and policies that will endure.

BANKER
Chris Is the newest member of our board and brings with him a wealth of experience working with people in the financial services industry. Chris understands the complexities and potential stumbling blocks for young people who are just starting in business. He is creative and works with a level of passion that is inspirational as he mentors young people towards financial self-sufficiency.

Alma has served almost his entire career as an Immigration Attorney. This is hard, and emotionally taxing work as he works with those people who are generally in crisis and may be at their most vulnerable level as they seek asylum. Alma is passionate about helping people and uses his competencies to lift and empower people. Alma is a trusted source, detail oriented, and assists with wisdom and great personal power.

PRINCIPAL GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Julio is Director of Engineering at a successful Geotechnical Engineering firm in Portland and Salem and also teaches engineering for code professionals at a local college. Julio brings a unique experience to the board and a perspective that keeps us focused on what is most important….helping young people gain the necessary competencies and skill sets that enable them to transcend poverty. Julio is a fantastic mentor and teacher to us and also to our students.
